Open Air Photobooth partners with Santa Barbara’s Non-Profit iCAN

Open Air Photobooth is honored to provide photo booth rentals for The Incredible Children’s Art Network’s Annual Art Show, in Santa Barbara. This is the second year working with Santa Barbara’s non-profit iCAN, which is dedicated to enriching children’s lives through creative expression.  With a network of partnerships iCAN serves around 3,200 children across Santa Barbara, in six different schools, including; Adams Elementary School, Cleveland Elementary School, Franklin Elementary School, McKinley Elementary School, Monroe Elementary School and Harding University Partnership School.

Each year iCAN celebrates the accomplishments of their students by hosting a student showcase.  It is a beautiful opportunity for young people to experience the value of community through creative expression and to be honored as artists. The iCAN art show is a public event that can be attended by families, friends and the greater iCAN Network of supporters.

The art shows are above and beyond other local student showcases.  Not only do they transform each school’s auditorium into an art gallery, beautifully displaying each class’ body of work, but the events are also catered and have individualized entertainment and activities.  Thus far, the events have featured art workshops, raffles and a live orchestra of student musicians.   The children’s art is simply spectacular, each piece was like looking into a window of each of their unique personalities.

Open Air Photobooth is always a BIG hit with everyone, especially for kids, they absolutely love taking photos with all their friends and family.  Our treasure trove of silly props allow for each individual to express themselves in a fun way, all while capturing priceless moments. The high quality prints we provide for the guests, not only honors the occasion, but is a sentimental keepsake they can cherish for a lifetime.  Every guest was so appreciative for the photos, a few guests even personally thanked me, explaining that their images were the only physical prints they have of them and their children.  With technology so rapidly advancing, many tend to forget the importance of tangible photos.  Open Air Photo Booth is grateful to contribute to an organization that does so much for our community.

The Open Air Photobooth team has been deeply moved by the impact iCAN has on our central coast community and the youth.  By participating in each school’s yearly art show, we have seen some truly amazing showcases and are inspired by the passion and commitment of the iCAN team to each of their students.  We share that level of passion, in bringing joy to people through capturing precious memories. We believe in infusing art into our daily lives and investing energy and love into the future generation.  There really is truth in the saying, it is in giving that we receive.  This creative collaboration of Open Air Photobooth and the Incredible Children’s Art Network has been beyond rewarding. We are committed to being more involved in these kinds of community outreach programs.
