Babbo n’ Bibby – 1940’s Themed Birthday Party in Montecito - Photo Booth Rental
As featured in Montecito Journal, “Don Bellisario, the creator/ co-creator of such TV hits as Magnum P.I., JAG, Quantum Leap, and NCIS, celebrated his 80th birthday at his newly built Montecito estate.” This 1940’s-themed bash hosted 175 guests and featured World War II armored cars from Santa Barbaran Rob Gordon’s extensive collection. The Invitations, in keeping with the theme, were sent by telegram and the boffo bash started with a USO garden party on the magnificent home’s upper terrace with a selection of luxury artisan cocktails from the Grand Bevy, including pink gin fizz, and aviation and champagne cocktails.
The guests, many dressed in military uniforms of the era, including a few Rosie the Riveters and one Joe DiMaggio, and then adjourned to the Supper Club set on the lower tier featuring a 17-piece orchestra and Andrews Sisters and Frank Sinatra look-alikes who got guests “in the mood.”
Open Air Photobooth provided the Santa Barbara photo booth rental service at this event to capture the historic mood.
