Katrina and Graham Fox wed in Australia, but many friends and family members were unable to attend because of the distance. So, the newlyweds threw a local reception in Santa Barbara, California, where Graham’s dad serves on the board of their venue: the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. Katrina wore a stunning red dress that showed off her growing baby bump, and she paired it with her red wedding shoes. The groom opted for a classic black tuxedo and bow tie. The couple decorated their venue with rich fabrics, warm jewel tones, wooden signs and flowers in shades of plum, fuchsia, red, coral and orange. Guests sipped cocktails from vintage glassware and enjoyed entertainment from traditional flamenco dances. “Once it was time for dinner, we welcomed guests to dine at long feasting tables, low lounge areas and little gathering places because we wanted everyone to spend the majority of their time on the dance floor,” the bride says. “Dinner was passed small plates and stations featuring places in Santa Barbara.” One standout station was the wine and cheese table, which offered wine tastings and a modern tiered cheese cake.
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: “We welcomed guests to the reception with a ‘step and repeat’ photo booth that would later become their favor to take home and remember the evening,” the bride says.
